Jennifer Beals and Ilene Chaiken, longtime supporters of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, looked fabulous for the organization's 19th Annual Media Awards this past Saturday night. OurChart.com caught up with them on the red carpet outside the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. We also spoke with Rufus Wainwright and Janet Jackson—the evening's big honorees. Here's a peek at all the buzz as people were making their grand entrance to the show.

Mia Kirshner - Miss Conception

Georgina Scott (Heather Graham) is a broody 33 year-old, who sends her boyfriend, Zak, (Tom Ellis) packing when it has become apparent that he doesn’t share her desire for a bundle of joy. Zak sets off on a documentary shoot and hopes that she’ll cool off in his absence. But Georgina discovers that early menopause runs in her family and heads for a specialist with her reluctant best friend, Clem (Mia Kirshner, The L Word), in tow. Learning that her baby making days are numbered, Georgina enlists Clem and their camp pal, Justin (Orlando Seale), to make the most of it. A battle plan is drawn up but their escapades become increasingly frantic as Georgina explores internet sperm donors, night clubbers, a love struck co-worker and funeral-goers in her desperate and hilarious attempts to beat the biological clock.

Laurel Holloman adopts a baby girl

Laurel has finally revealed why she wasn't able to attend Starfury's L4 in March as planned. There was a lot of speculation that Laurel was pregnant, but we can confirm she wasn't although the rumours were along the right line. Laurel and her husband have in fact adopted a baby girl, a new sister for Lola. We send good wishes to Laurel and her newly enlarged family.

BRAVO ANNOUNCES BROADCAST DATE FOR 19TH ANNUAL GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS

New York, April 28, 2008 — Bravo today announced the exclusive broadcast date for the 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards. The gala awards show recognizing and honoring media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representation of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and the issues that affect their lives will air on Friday, June 27 at 7 pm ET/PT.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), a national media advocacy and anti-defamation organization, has presented the GLAAD Media Awards annually since 1990. The broadcast on Bravo marks two historic milestones: the first televised airing of the celebration on a fully distributed national cable network, and the most widely broadcast gay-specific event in television history.
