November 1st: 11th Annual Women's Event
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center is thrilled to celebrate their 11th annual Women’s Event and the 25th anniversary of the organization on Saturday, November 1, 2008, with an evening of cocktails, dining, fabulous silent auction items, dancing and so much more. Women’s Event is the largest and signature gala for women on the east coast and in New York, and a not-to-be missed celebration. And this year Women’s Event will also serve as a salute to “The L Word” in its sixth and final season, with cast members from the iconic series in attendance!In addition to cast members from “The L Word” attending, the event serves as an awards evening, with this year’s three distinguished honorees including Ilene Chaiken, Creator and Executive Producer of “The L Word;” Stephanie Gibbons, Executive Vice President of Marketing and On-Air Promotion of FX; and Lisa Sherman, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Logo.
